So here I go. Starting out with my first blog EVER!
I was one of those persons that never thought that I would ever start a blog, let alone twitter. I'm not too big into social networking sites like this (minus facebook of course). But, since this is a requirement of a class where I am learning to put more emerging technologies into the classroom, I figured that I would make the most of this experience and see where I can go with it. So far in EDFN 505, I have discovered tools that I had never known existed in the past. There is such a wide array of technology out there for teachers to use that I had just never heard of or even thought of using.
I understand that online social networking is the way that many people keep up to date information about friends, family, and even school. These websites, like blogging, twitter, and facebook make it easier for students to stay in contact with one another and make it easier for the teacher to keep up to date information available at all times for their students. So, this should be a fun experiment for me to see where I go with my blogging and twitter and see how much I actually learn from doing these things for the first time. Until next time, Aaron
Like you Aaron, this is my first time blogging and twittering. I only used Facebook as my social media. I always wondered why all those celebrities were constantly checking their blackberrys or Iphones for twitter, but now I know! Although I don't have a smartphone, twitter is addicting! My younger sister has taught me how to use Twitter from the phone.
ReplyDeleteI was really nervous about this class and how advanced the technology was going to be for me, but I can honestly say that it has helped me to come up with great ideas for future lesson plans for teaching Spanish.
Good luck with the rest of the semester!
Hi there!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little uneasy on the Twitter thing. The only reason I had an account was because my husband had one and I wanted to know what was going on! Tonight I found out that Twitter is a great resource, although it's even better when you actually check it on occasion. International Dot Day was on the 15th. I just found out today. It sounded really cool. Alas.
Good luck with your experimenting!
